An informal blitz session over lunch — a quick and friendly way to play a few games in the middle of the working week.
a five-round Swiss tournament on Wednesdays, 13:00–14:00. Invitations are sent by our tournament director; sessions may be suspended during school holidays.

There are two separate rapid competitions: the Wednesday lunchtime championship and the Tuesday afterwork championship.

One round per month, on a club evening
Our internal club championship, open to members only: nine rounds of rapid chess (20 minutes + 10 seconds per move), with a prize-giving ceremony in June.
The Europchess Rapid Championship is our internal club championship, played over nine monthly rounds on club evenings and open to members only. It should not be confused with the Interclubs Championship below, which is the national team competition of the Belgian federation.
Five Europchess teams play in the Belgian National Interclubs Championship (Divisions 1, 3, 4 and 5), and we also take part in the Regional Championship of the Francophone federation.
Sundays, 14.00 (September–April)
we participate with five teams in Divisions 1, 3, 4, and 5 (out of five) of the National Interclubs Championship during the season listed below. Matches roughly every two weeks, on Sundays, starting at 14.00. We also participate in the Regional Championship of the Francophone chess federation: usually 4 Sundays in May–June, also starting from 14.00. For representing Europchess in these competitions a license from the Belgian federation is required.
Europchess participates in the Belgian National Interclubs Championship. If you would like to sign up for a playing licence or be transferred to Europchess from another club, we are happy to help.
Teams are composed of 8 players in Divisions 1 and 2, of 6 players in Division 3, and of 4 players in Divisions 4 and 5.
Divisions are composed of 12 teams. A season is 11 matches, about every second Sunday, while the federation tries to avoid school holidays where possible. Games always start at 14:00.
Time control: 1h30 for the first 40 moves + 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with 30 seconds increment from move 1.
