Europchess had a difficult start in this year’s championship, scoring only 1.5 points in 8 games. Division 1 Titleholders Europchess 1 got two good draws from Georgi Tomov and Luis Parreira against Ans-Loncin. However, Benjamín Alberola and Johannes Bertram were outplayed by their opponents from the hosting club Amay.
