Georgi had an excellent performance of 2419, scored 6 out of 7 and finished in second place, behind 14-old Belgian champion IM Daniel Dardha. Strangely enough, the two did not have to play...

FEFB Rapid Championship 2019

The FEFB Rapid Championship 2019, organised on the car-free Sunday of 22 September, in Braine-l’Alleud, was a rather small tournament with 52 participants. Martin Mueller had an excellent tournament, finishing 5th with 6/9, drawing with FM Herman and IM Capone and beating fellow Europchessian FM Tom Wiley. He only lost to tournament winner IM Godart. Mark Ouaki scored an average result, with wins against FMs Herman and Wiley, but also dropping some points against...

Belgian Blitz Championship 2019

New Europchess member Stephen Clark-Foulquier was the best representative of our club on rank 40 with 7.5/13, followed by Mark Ouaki, who scored half a point less, but performed once again clearly above his (blitz) rating. Luis Parreira also scored 7/13, but with a rather low performance. Johannes Bertram performed almost exactly on his...
