Rossen Roussev is the club champion 2018!

The Europchess Championship 2018 has finished with a victory of FM Rossen Roussev, who takes over the title from his compatriot FM Georgi Tomov. Rossen was the only player to score strong 7.5/9 points, leaving IM Tim Binham and FM Georgi Tomov on the podium with 7/9. In total, the tournament attracted 44 participants and was also the first Europchess championship for a number of new members to whom we prolong a warm welcome....

In August and September 2018, Brussels Chess Club organised a nice Rapid Tournament on six Mondays which three rounds each week. Luis Parreira (10.5/18, perf 1849) and Luis Busquets (10/15, perf 1917) performed well and finished in 4th and 5th place respectively.
